Job Title: Relief Kitchen Staff

Responsible to: Lead Practitioner & Service Manager

Location: Wernham House

Salary: £11.65 per hour

Main responsibilities: To be primarily responsible for the catering arrangements at the service on an ad-hoc basis as and when cover is required.

Requirements

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • To assist in the preparation of menus for all meals if required.
  • To prepare and serve meals, and snacks in line with the menu.
  • To alert the Service Manager/Lead practitioner to any supplies that are running low/out of stock
  • To participate in domestic duties as arranged.
  • To ensure that standards of hygiene are maintained in accordance with food safety legislation when providing short term cover.
  • To participate in training as arranged to ensure compliance.
  • To undertake other duties as requested by the Service Manager

GENERAL TERMS OF REFERENCE

In carrying out the above activities, the Cook will:

  • maximise their own performance and contribution
  • ensure they comply with internal and external regulations, procedures and other requirements appertaining to the service
  • maintain the good reputation of the organisation
  • seek to improve knowledge and skills by engaging in both formal and informal activities
  • carry out other relevant work commensurate with the post as required by the Service Manager.
