Bield is one of the largest providers of housing and support services to older people in Scotland and everyone plays an important role in making sure that our services improve the lives of older people in Scotland.

The Role:

Our Retirement Housing with Meals service, Campsie Gardens in Seafar (Cumbernauld), is looking for the right person to be involved in the preparation and delivery of a flexible meals service to tenants in accordance with food safety and service standards.

As an Assistant you will provide general and emergency assistance to tenants, as required. You will also contribute to the maintenance of a high level of cleanliness within all common parts of the development.

Hours of employment are 10.5 per week, organised as follows:

Friday, 3.30 pm to 7 pm.

Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Role Requirements

- An interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs is essential.

- Although relevant experience in a similar post is desirable, it is not essential as induction and training (e.g. food hygiene) will be provided.

- A REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification is desirable.

We offer:

- The Assistant: Retirement Housing with Meals hourly rate is GBP 9.50
