Advanced Support Worker

We are currently seeking dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Health & Social Care staff for the role of Advanced Support Worker in the East end of Glasgow.

This will be an exciting opportunity to provide personalised care and support to a young man with an acquired brain injury in an individualised service. You will be privileged to help this person realise his potential and journey towards rebuilding his life, utilising specialist knowledge and experience. You will work in close partnership with a dynamic neuropsychology focused multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality care and support

Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive induction and bespoke training in acquired brain injury, neurobehavioral rehabilitation, risk assessment and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering person-centred care using an evidence-based approach. You will have access to support and reflective practice sessions with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with expertise in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation.

Putting the preferences of this young gentleman at the heart of everything you do, you will support him at a ratio of 2:1 support with all aspects of daily living, including intimate care tasks. You will also provide social and emotional support, help with daily living tasks, and promote and support him to regain his independence so that he can become more active and reach his goals and aspirations.

In order to support this young man with his interests, it's vital that all applicants have a full, clean UK driving license.
