Are you on the look out for a job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? We've got just the opportunity for you!

Our amazing #TeamRankine in Dundee are looking for a friendly, caring and flexible new colleague to join them on a permanent (16 hours per week) basis.

The Role

You'll become part of a dedicated, fun, friendly team who supports four active gentlemen who have learning disabilities to live in their own shared home. There's never a dull moment, every day is different!

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support with all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, housework, medication, finances and appointments. With all of the gentlemen enjoying getting out and about in their local community, you'll also find yourself getting involved in things like playing pool, football, darts, going for walks and day trips.

About You

At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great is you also have a full clean driving license as some of the gentlemen we support have their own mobility cars, however this isn't a dealbreaker for the right candidate.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best care and support possible, shift patterns will involve working early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, public holidays and weekends on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours and you will receive a payment of £96 for every sleepover worked.

Please note that we are unable to work this post around a university or college timetable.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Erin Torrie on 07825050089.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
