We are now on the lookout for motivated and creative *female colleagues who are passionate about making a difference to join our dynamic team and join us on a permanent basis as Support Practitioners. We have 30 to 35 hour contracts available and along with relief opportunities if you are looking for something more flexible.

The Role

Based in Ardrossan, Castlecraigs is an energetic, fast-paced Housing Support service which is home to 13 individuals with complex support needs. We have a great team spirit within the service and our colleagues really pride themselves on working together to make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals we support.

As a Support Worker, you will provide personalised, flexible support based upon the assessed needs of each individual. With a focus on reducing social isolation, maintaining and promoting independence, you will enable the people we support to live as independently as possible and to play an active role within their local communities. This role will also include supporting with hobbies, meal planning, cooking, housework, support to appointments, personal care and medication.

Shift Pattern

We provide flexible, customer-led services that run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which include mornings, afternoons, evenings, waking nights, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays and on a rota basis..

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
