Looking for a Night Shift with a difference!!

Our amazing #TeamCraigewan in Peterhead are on the lookout for a new part-time reliable and responsible *female colleague on a permanent part-time (10 hours) basis.

This post will involve working one waking night shift per week between the hours of 2130-0800 on either a Monday or Friday. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an agreed standard waking night payment of £2.50 per hour.

The Role

Craigewan is a purpose-built facility which is home to 11 individuals with learning disabilities, all living their own self-contained flats.

As part of our Waking Night team, your main aim will be to ensure that the individuals we support have access to support and assistance during the night if needed. In addition to providing support, your responsibilities will include maintaining a high level of cleanliness, ironing, health & safety checks, managing finances and administrative support.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills and will give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is;

  • Confidence to lone work
  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Good administration skills
  • Confidence in the use of technology.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support, tailored to the needs of each individual, your shift pattern would be a waking night shift per week between the hours of 2130-0800 hours.

Although this is a waking night post, we will need you to have flexibility to attend mandatory training during the day. However, we will give you advanced notice of the dates and times.

We are looking to fill this post as soon as possible so withhold the right to close the advert early if we find a suitable candidate. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Lily McMillan on 07807003224.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
