Due to the ongoing growth and a new development, we currently have a number of exciting job opportunities for people interested in a career in social care across Glasgow.
As a Support Worker you will join a team providing individualised support to adults with learning and other support needs. Successful candidates will enjoy supporting people and have a positive attitude and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of the people we support.
Duties will include supporting people with personal care, maintaining their home and to develop and maintain full and active participation in their communities. A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential. Previous experience in social care is not necessary as the most important qualities are being able to value and respect the contributions that all people, who have a disability, make to the community. Holding a car driving licence would be desirable.
If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot commit to a contract because you have other commitments, then there are opportunities to join our register of relief workers.
Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly as part of the team to meet service users’ needs and working times will include work in the evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleepovers.
Key provides excellent professional supervision, support and training, including access to the SVQ Framework and a chance to really make a difference.
