Applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, a qualification meeting the standards required for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

Would you like to make a difference in a young woman’s life?

A sociable young woman that we support requires an enthusiastic, committed female* staff member to help her enjoy her life and connect with her community.

We are hiring for two positions - one is for 35 hours per week, and the other is 18 hours per week.

The woman lives in central Edinburgh, and the support will include sleepovers.

*Exemption under Equality Act 2010

About this opportunity

You would be working in a small, friendly team and will build a relationship with the person and her family.

The ideal candidate will be someone:-

  • with a creative mind
  • who enjoys music
  • who is flexible
  • who is good at forward planning and using their initiative

Support is provided 24/7, and the shift patterns is typically 2.30pm until 10pm, followed by a paid sleepover and then from 7am until 3.30pm the following day.

You would be doing these shifts per week and the opportunity to do more during holidays or for sickness. Hours can be discussed at the interview stage.
