About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to become a Wellbeing Practitioner and part of a self-organised team. We are looking for a permanent team member to join the team of Wellbeing Practitioners that support an easy-going gentleman who loves all things musical. He is a very talented musician and loves to sing and play the piano and accordion. He is blind and uses a wheelchair but is very independent in his own environment. He needs support for epilepsy and seizure activity, which is currently managed quite well with regular medication. He loves socialising and going to live folk sessions and concerts. He also enjoys day trips further afield in his car, the occasional holiday, following the football and sometimes going to matches, researching music history on his computer. He loves meeting and hearing doings when out on walks drinks in the pub. While useful it's not essential that you have health/social care experience but more important that you are friendly, fun to be with, observant creative and patient.

·Support is provided 24/7 and the two vacancies would be: 26.5 hour contract (working out to roughly three 24 hour shifts - 9am to 9am including sleepover - every two weeks). An ability to drive would be an added bonus.
