About Sustain North Ayrshire

Take advantage of our £500 new start bonus and apply today.

Aberlour have been delivering our Sustain whole family support service within the localities of Kilwinning and Auchenharvie, North Ayrshire since October 2020. We support families with children from the Nursery\P1 transition through to the P7\S1 transition with a focus on early intervention and family wellbeing. We aim to be relationship based, strengths focused, capability building and community connecting.

For Aberlour whole family support begins and ends with families and communities and we aim to help build skills, confidence and belonging as an integral part of family support. We are often involved in supporting work within the wider community and as such we work with a very wide range of voluntary and statutory partners. By building the resilience and capacity of people and communities, families can feel more supported, connected, and confident in sustaining and leading change. This has always been our approach however it has been particularly effective in supporting our response to the pandemic and supporting plans for recovery.

What we are looking for....

We are currently recruiting for a Community Development Practitioner who will work 37.5 hours per week. This post is funded by the Scottish Government’s Community Recovery Fund for 6 months.

Working alongside the North Ayrshire Wellbeing and Recovery College and Raise Your Voice with Ardeer, our project partnership has been designed to help us work and learn together as we strive to support community recovery. Our new Community Development Practitioner will support the shared ambitions of all partners to work towards a holistic and inclusive approach to community recovery, where local people build on their strengths and interests, grow in confidence, learn new skills, make new connections in the community, and have the opportunity to lead and influence change.

At Aberlour we want to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential. If you share the same vision, we want you to join our team.
