Nursery Room Leader

We are looking for a passionate and caring Room Leader to take on the day to day management one of our busy playrooms. Working under the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, you will be hands-on with the children providing professional leadership and management to the playroom staff and ensuring that all our children receive the highest standards of care.

Ideally, you will have experience managing a team and working under the guidelines set out by the pre-birth to three curricula and building the ambition.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for working with children
• 3 years (or more) experience working in a childcare setting
• SCQF level 7 qualification (e.g. HNC, SVQ3) in Childcare and Education
• SSSC registration
• Team focused
• Strong communication skills
• Experience of Learning Journals is desirable but not essential

What do you have to achieve?

• Ensure high standards of care
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Ensure positive relationships with staff, parents and carers
• Provide leadership and support to playroom staff to enable them to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
• Ensure that the relevant curriculum is being practised to a high standard
• Develop the environment within the room and the nursery as a whole
