Early Years Practitioner - Part Time

Great Start Childcare are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Childcare Practitioner join our team on a part time basis. This is a temporary position with possibility of extending contract in the longer term.

Requirements:

SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People), HNC Childcare or equivalent.

Experience in a childcare setting is preferred.

Knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence (early level) and pre-birth to three year old guidance.

Successful candidates, if not already registered with SSSC as practitioners, will be required to gain this within 6 months of the date of your appointment.

You will be expected to:

To contribute to the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children and families

Work in partnership with parents and families.

Provide learning and development opportunities for children.

Ensure children’s individual needs and requirements are met daily.

Ensure all children are treated as equals.

Work along-side a team in order to achieve our aims and vision.

Assess, observe and reflect on practice to improve continuously.

Have a good knowledge of relevant childcare documentation.

Plan, carry out and evaluate learning programmes for the children.

Promote parental participation

Create effective working relationships.

Participate in staff meetings, planning meetings and other evening events within the setting.

Follow the settings policies and procedures.
