Early Years Practitioner

Peek-a-boo Nursery (Edinburgh) the award winning, independent Nursery School in Barnton is looking to recruit a full-time Early Years Practitioner.

The successful candidate will have enthusiasm, motivation and great communication skills in being part of a team. You must have thorough knowledge in ‘Curriculum for Excellence’ and be able to transfer these skills into high quality planning, learning, assessment and tracking for individual children.

Candidates will be able to respond to children’s needs providing creative and innovative play experiences both indoors and outdoors.

You must be a passionate, caring and nurturing individual with a genuine natural flare and desire in responding to and developing the individual needs of children.

The role will require the successful candidate to be registered with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme and to complete the robust recruitment and selection and enrolment process.

This is a full-time position (4 and ½ day week) with hours between 8am-6pm.

Holiday allowance - 6 weeks.

Salary -starts at £18,983

About the nursery

Peek-a-boo Nursery School is situated in Parkgrove Loan, it opened in 1998 and has space for 84 children.
