Earl Years Lead Practitioner

A position for an Early Years Lead Practitoner (qualified) has arisen at the Rocking Horse Nursery. This is to work with the 3-5 years age group and therefore knowledge of the Early Level Curriculum would be required. This role would involve leading a team of 5 and ensuring the high quality provision that is offered.

The person should be innovative with a positive vision for the nursery. They should show

creativity, adaptability, patience, initiative and a wide range of communication skills.

As outdoor learning features highly in the Nursery vision, ideally the person would be

motivated in this area.

This is to cover a maternity leave position with the possibility of permanent thereafter.

Requirements:

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or complete PVG

Scheme update check.

The candidate must be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council and meet the

registration requirements of completing 60 hours of CPD training in 5 years.

A qualification in Early Years (or equivalent), and 3years post qualifying experience in an Early

Years Setting is essential.

Holidays are 34 per year (16 of which are for nursery closures).
