We’re currently recruiting for an experienced practitioner to help support our continued growth. We’re looking for someone who is available on a part time basis - around 20 hours per week over 4 days.

If you are a self-starter with great ideas, someone who pays attention to detail, can inspire and nurture children of all ages, is organized, likes smiling and having fun, takes care, has high standards, can solve a problem or two, can communicate with ease, is a team player and buys into our brand then we want to hear from you.

Sheephouse is a small but perfectly formed nursery and out of school club in Fauldhouse, West Lothian. We have been consistently graded VERY GOOD by the Care Inspectorate. We’re incredibly child-led and do things ‘The Sheephouse Way’- ensuring that the needs of the children that we care for and their families are central to what we do. We don’t like to stand still and are innovative in our approach to play – always keen to push boundaries and offer fantastic play opportunities. We have a great team who are hugely important to us and we like to support and empower them all with a view to having as much fun as possible on a daily basis.

Desirable qualifications, training and experience:

• Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent

• Childcare experience

• Great knowledge and understanding of all curriculums, Building the Ambition and HGIOELC frameworks

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation

• Knowledge of Care Standards

• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities

• PVG membership

• SSSC registration
