We are delighted to invite applications for the Lead Officer Estate to lead our Estates Team within our Corporate Landlord model. The postholder will be Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with experience in all aspects of commercial and operational property development, valuation, acquisition, disposal and managment.
Job Purpose:
The postholder will provide direction and support to the estates team. They will provide strategic direction around the council commercial asset base, ensuring it is safe, fit for purpose and contributing to the council’s wider goals. The role will require to be flexible adaptable and be able to solve a variety of property related problems. The Postholder requires to have a strong commercial understanding along with ability to merge commercial returns with strategic Council outcomes.
Requirements
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Educated to Degree level
A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (General Practise).
Be a Registered valuer with the RICS
Current UK Driving Licence
Responsibilities
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Extensive experience in the management, acquisition and disposal of Commercial property
Proven track record in valuing commercial property
Strong Communication skills
Experience negotiator
Good experience in budget management
Be able to motivate and manage a team of different professional and technical staff.
Demonstrate commercial awareness
