LOCATION: Marischal College, Aberdeen
DURATION: Permanent, Full Time
As a Mechanical Advisor you will support the Hard FM Manager in the delivery of the Hard FM Service. In this operational role, you will deliver a highly effective and efficient Mechanical Services works advice, audit, inspection and survey service to a range of internal and external customers.
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Comprehensive and demonstrable qualifications and or experience in a Commercial Mechanical Services related field such as City & Guilds, HNC or HND.
Knowledge and experience in a Mechanical Services related environment.
Knowledge and experience in Health & Safety issues/legislation.
Able to demonstrate an up-to-date awareness of the latest technical developments and professional standards through written and electronic sources.
Ability to use all standard office type hardware and Microsoft and works related software and data base systems to a reasonable level for inputting data, producing reports etc.
Asbestos awareness training
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Sound knowledge of Building Control Regulations.
Ability to monitor, update, as required appropriate management systems.
Manage the Mechanical Services audit programme.
Ensure that statutory works programmes are complied with.
Ability to contribute to contract monitoring meetings and experience in dealing with contractors and a variety of property professionals.
Dealing with a wide range of clients and customers from a range of services and backgrounds.
Ability to use all standard office type hardware and MS packages e.g. Word, Excel (including compiling spread sheets), Outlook and any other job-related data bases and systems to a competent level.
