Location: Units 3-4 Whitemyres Avenue, Aberdeen AB16 6HQ
Duration: Permanent, Full Time

This post is based in the Telecare Service which provides technology solutions, installation and review of users while meeting the needs of our vulnerable or elderly clients.  You will assess users for equipment within their home environment and be installing / maintaining bespoke solutions, along with holding awareness sessions on the equipment with various staff groups.

Job Purpose:

You will assist in the provision and development of the Telecare service contributing to the provision of a high standard of person centred care and support for service users throughout the city of Aberdeen.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

•  Full UK driving licence.
•  Extensive knowledge in the Electrical or Telecare field.
•  Ability to move and handle items of equipment.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

•  Work in accordance with Adult and Public Protection principles and procedures.
•  Adhere to the requirements of company policy and procedures and health and safety policies and legislation.
•  Undertake equipment specific training.
•  Undertake lifting and handling training.
•  Complete Customer Service training.
•  Travel within Aberdeen City.
•  Provide an on-call service.

 

The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding or experience of:

•  The ability to communicate effectively with people.
•  Demonstrable IT skills.
•  Ability to operate a wide variety of tools and test equipment.
•  Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
•  Ability to work with others and as part of a team.
•  Ability to contribute to reports in relation to Telecare.
