Job Description

Lead and support in the provision of care by attending to the needs and rights of Adults with a learning disability, mental health condition which involves complex / challenging support needs within a caring environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team supporting service users across Aberdeenshire with behaviours that challenge both in the community and within services. The post will be based at Willowbank , Peterhead however applicants must be able to travel within Aberdeenshire and have access to a vehicle. Applicants should have good knowledge of dealing with complex needs and adapting to complex situations. Typical working hours will be from 7am-3pm and 2.30pm-10pm but may also include sleepover or wakened night cover, applicants will also work every second weekend on a 2 week rolling rota.
There are 6 posts available at 32hrs per week.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
