An exciting career opportunity has arisen in the Councils Finance department in the form of six Council Tax Assistant positions.
Do you have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team? Do you work well under pressure and use your own initiative? Computer savvy and willing to learn? If so, then a career in the Council Tax Team could be for you.
As a Council Tax Assistant you will have a front line, customer facing role, helping customers with a wide variety of queries relating to Council Tax including payment of debts, advising on reductions available, assisting them in their applications and generally ensuring that all customers are notified of the correct charges on their Council Tax bills.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
The team are focused on applying the Councils One Aberdeenshire Principles in their day to day working. The three Principles are:
Everyone brings their ‘best self’ to work every day
- We are clear about what is expected of us and ask if unsure
- We take informed decisions as close to the action as possible
If this sounds like you, then have a look at the job profile attached to find out more about the role and the essential skills, training and qualifications required, before you apply.
Some flexibility is available regarding the location of the post, however this may initially involve working in both the Fraserburgh and Inverurie office locations and remotely, during the initial training period. Full training will be provided for successful applicants to help get your career in Council Tax off to a great start.
This post has a minimum requirement of one reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
Fixed Term for a period not exceeding 15/09/2022.
