Working within the Revenues Service of Aberdeenshire Council you will be required to assist in the provision of a range of administrative support services.  Undertaking clerical duties, including the sorting and distribution of mail, processing system documents, photocopying, typing and production of reports while gaining experience of Council Tax, Business Rates and Sundry Debts.

You will have good communication and organisational skills, be eager to learn and able to work as part of a team.

Aberdeenshire Council is committed to increasing the opportunities in the local area by providing Modern Apprenticeships (MA's). These allow you to gain skills, experience and knowledge in the world of work as well as gaining a formal qualification. 

Successful candidates will be placed on an approved programme of training through the Aberdeenshire Council Modern Apprenticeship Scheme for the IT Professional SVQ Level 3 qualification. This MA programme is open to candidates aged 16-19. If you have a disability or are a care leaver* then you are also eligible to apply up to the age of 29. Academic achievement in 3 Scottish National 4 or 5, 3 Standard grades or equivalent is essential.

*Any adult who spent time in care as a child.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £9.34 per hour.
