There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This PSA post at Fraserburgh Academy will be based predominantly in our new Compass Centre. This off-site resource will provide nurturing alternative provision for high tariff young people who are not able to access a mainstream curriculum due to a number of reasons. As this provision is off-campus it will, by its situation, allow young people to be in a therapeutic educational environment other than school. It will provide young people who require a reduction in their time in school with meaningful alternatives to their timetable, and opportunity for a nurturing, therapeutic input. Learners will access this provision on a full-time or part-time basis dependant on their needs.
The aim for every learner would be to provide them with the individualised input to help them access mainstream classes and ultimately be re-integrated into school.
Fixed Term: for a period not exceeding 07 July 2023
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
