Principal Teacher, Tobermory Primary School

Principal Teacher of Primary. We are a unique 2-18 setting based on the beautiful Isle of Mull. This post combines a class commitment with leadership responsibilities, which can be tailored to the successful candidate. Our ideal candidate is confident teaching across the primary phase, with a strong interest in Early Years education. We are currently developing our approach to play-based learning and outdoor education.

Here at Tobermory High School we aspire to offer all learners an inspirational and inclusive education, which responds to our wonderful setting and vibrant community. This post offers the unique opportunity to work across age ranges with composite classes and join our experienced and welcoming staff team.

  • "Please Note - Pay arrangements for those starting after 1st day of school session. In accordance with Teachers Conditions of Service (SNCT - Appendix 2.19), Teachers who commence employment with Argyll and Bute Council after the first day of the school session will have their salary for the remainder of the school salary year (which runs from 1 August to 31 July each year), recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue leave and pay. In these circumstances, a calculation will be carried out upon commencement of employment and leave and pay will be adjusted.
