Based at Waverley Court, you will work in a team which provides financial advice and support to services within the Place Directorate including day to day financial advice and support to budget managers, budget monitoring, budget development, final accounts and supporting financial strategy, major projects and transformational change.

Place Directorate provides a wide range of services over four Divisions; Operational Services, Sustainable Development, Housing, Homelessness & Family Support and Culture & Wellbeing.

The Accounting Technician will provide support to the Senior Accountant and Accountants in budget development, revenue monitoring, final accounts and day to day support to budget managers.  The successful candidate will require to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in their approach to the role as support will be required across a portfolio of services within Place Directorate.  The duties will be manageable but varied. 

As a member of the Finance Accounting Team you will work closely with colleagues in the delivery of financial advice and guidance to service managers ensuring the highest standards of client service, professional practice and financial governance are achieved.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
