An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 x Early Years Practitioner roles at Gylemuir Primary School.

Gylemuir Primary School is organised into nineteen classes from P1-P7. There is a nursery which has a mixture of full-time and part-time places and an Early Years Hub for 2 year olds. Pupils are supported by a nurture base and a variety of nurturing and therapy groups.
The school is led by a leadership team of a Head Teacher, three part time Depute Head Teachers, a Principal Teacher and a part-time Business Manager. This session there is an Acting Principal Teacher and opportunities for devolved leadership are available to teachers and PSA’s to facilitate the implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
There are two part-time Support for Learning Teachers. The leadership team is ably supported by a School Administrator, a team of Pupil Support Assistants and a Facilities Technician.
The school benefits from an active and supportive Parent Council and Parent Teacher Association, called Friends of Gylemuir.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups(Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
