Systems, Quality and Performance Officer - 2 year fixed term contract
Bankhead Waste and Cleansing Depot and Transfer Station

Hours: 36 per week
As a Systems, Quality and Performance Officer you will be a key member of the team responsible for analysing, modifying, enhancing or adapting new and existing systems, and reporting tools, integrating new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving service efficiency and productivity.
You will be responsible for implementing, developing and maintaining the suite of systems, and supporting technologies, to support the service in achieving its long- and short-term objectives. This includes route design and optimisation, asset and works order management, and other systems and reporting tools.
You will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and analysing data quality across the service’s data estate. You will setup data quality monitoring processes and trackers, identify data quality issues, undertake root-cause analysis, and recommend permanent solutions. You will also undertake both routine and ad-hoc data cleansing activities.
You will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful reporting, analytics, forecasts and detailed modelling to help inform and guide future business decisions of Waste and Cleansing Services (and its operational delivery). You will be inquisitive in nature with a keen eye for detail. You will enjoy manipulating large amounts of data with the ability to add insight and identify performance trends and issues.
Applicants must be technically-minded, with the ability to fully utilise systems (such as GIS and routing software) to enable optimised service delivery. Highly skilled in Excel, with evidence of reports and modelling developed, maintained and presented. Excellent power point skills, with ability to present complex data in a compelling way. Able to spot efficiency opportunities and be passionate about performance. Experience in influencing key decision makers as well as communicating, and engaging, effectively across all levels of an operational service.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
The advertised salary will increase by 3% on 1st April 2020.
