Casual Film Theatre and Cinema Box Office Attendant

£11.06 per hour

We are seeking individuals who would be willing to join our bank of casual staff to provide cover for annual leave and sickness as and when required. Hours of work will be variable to meet the needs of the service and will involve evenings and weekends.

Based at the Robert Burns Centre in Dumfries, the job holder will be the first point of contact for customers and will receive training in the Box Office booking system and cash handling and will be required to undertake reception and clerical duties. 

The job involves assisting with the Film Theatre programme and selling tickets for forthcoming films and events. Other duties include updating web pages and social media as well as light cleaning of the facilities.

You will be a highly motivated and well-presented team worker with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.  Experience of customer care is essential for this post, and knowledge and experience of health and safety, and experience of cash handling will be an advantage. An interest in film is essential.

Dealing with customers daily you will have excellent communication and telephone skills and be able to prioritise your workload and work on your own initiative.
