ESF Programme Support Officer – Compliance (Fixed Term)

The Employability and Skills Service are looking for Programme Support Officers to work with us to achieve our service and partnership objectives. The role will support the successful delivery of European Social Fund programme for 2014 -2020, Phase 2, and to maintain information systems and provide support for partners and colleagues in the monitoring, reporting and maintenance of systems.


The successful candidates will be qualified to SVQ Level 3 or HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent, and should have extended experience working within an office environment.  They will be proficient in Microsoft Office Packages and experienced in financial procedures. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal professional and sensitively with wide range of individuals, projects and agencies. You will be able to maintain and review records and information accurately to ensure compliance with EU guidelines and in preparation for claims submissions. You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and be responsible for meeting and monitoring deadlines.


The post holders will be required to be a confident, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with the ability to prioritise and manage own work load and work as part of a team.


Together the posts cover 50.4 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year. We will consider any combination of flexible working that can meet service needs.


These posts are fixed term up to 31st March 2022.  This post may be suitable for secondment.  Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.

This post is part funded by the European Structural Funds and as such, the post holder will be solely involved in Structural Funds activity.
