We are looking for a permanent, full-time enthusiastic Team Player to be an active member of the BTS Voice Team.


The post consists of the administration of the Councils converged telephony services; Mobile phones, desk phones and daily use of systems used to manage them. Currently BT, Vodafone and Cisco Call Manager. Along with processing the relevant orders and invoices. You will provide advice and process internal customer requests relating to corporate telephony moves and changes. You will keep up to date with emerging relevant technologies and assist in the rollout of new technologies, when required.  You will ensure quality and accuracy of the corporate telephony network asset database and mobile asset register. Provide first line assistance for fault diagnosis, problem solving, user support for telecommunications equipment and network fault escalation.


You will need a good level of general education at higher level or equivalent with experience and knowledge of Microsoft packages.  An SVQ level 3 or equivalent is desirable.  We are looking for someone with at least 2 years relevant experience in a busy administration environment and you must have experience in, ordering and processing of invoices, preferably using RSS / Integra or other financial system. You will have an ability to work unsupervised, when required and be confident in liaising and dealing with colleagues, customers and suppliers. You will also have good organisational, time management and effective communication skills, with general knowledge of Council structures/departments and health & safety awareness.
