Job Description

This is an important role at an exciting time for Dundee City Centre with work ongoing to develop a 30-year strategic investment plan for the continued regeneration of this vital part of the city into a vibrant place for all. We are seeking a dynamic individual to help us create and maintain the city centre as it evolves and develops to meet the current and future needs of a wide range of stakeholders.

Based in Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will be educated to Degree level or have equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

To lead the Council’s activities that drive the regeneration of Dundee City Centre as a vibrant, sustainable place attractive to investors, local businesses, communities and visitors.

To lead the development and implementation of strategies; effectively communicate with stakeholders; develop partnerships to deliver projects that drive development, investment and jobs in the city centre.

The Individual

You will have an understanding of strategic planning and experience of working with external partners and agencies.

You will have an understanding of budget management and a deep knowledge and experience of city centre or place management.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good IT skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

You will have the ability to work under pressure and be able to work out with office hours and travel within the UK for conferences and meetings.
