You will be a qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work, CQSW; Dip SW or equivalent). You will have post qualifying experience of child protection or adult support and protection work.
Supervising and prioritising the work on shift, you will undertake your duties on a rota basis. You will have responsibility for ensuring that the OOHS provides an efficient and effective response to referrals for social work services. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the day-to-day running of the team, to help promote positive working relationships within the service and with other agencies and to assume management responsibility in the absence of the Team Manager.
You will be capable of independent decision-making and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to respond appropriately in a crisis, have good negotiating skills and supervisory experience. You will have recent experience in social work, in child care/protection and/or adult care/protection, and experience in multi-agency working.
You will be confident, calm, motivated and able to work under pressure and able to manage conflict.
You will be able to work at nights, weekends, public holidays and able to work flexibly and at short notice.
You will have a full, current driving licence (level 3) and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
You will have the ability to register with SSSC within timescales.
