Job Description

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.

Working 37 hours per week within the Employee Support Team, you will manage the day to day operations of a small team in processing payroll and staffing queries.

This is a busy team so you will enjoy a challenging environment and actively look for ways to improve the processes.

Requirements

You will hold an HNC in relevant subject area or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting the HR & Employee Support Manager in the day to day running of the Employee Support team, including delivery of staffing and payroll services within Leisure & Culture Dundee.

The Individual

You will have previous payroll and staffing experience, and be able to provide and interpret management information. You will have practical experience of payroll calculations and using excel (formulas), word and emails. You will be adept at problem solving including identifying issues and resolving these in a timely manner.

You will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Have the ability to plan and priorities workloads and meet challenges and deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. You will have experience using IT systems and have the ability to work within a pressurised environment.

You will also have experience of managing, checking and tracking work allocation across a small team. You will be confident in dealing with all levels of staff across the organisation. You will have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to deal with interruptions and be able to stay calm in difficult situations and be adaptable to change. A high level of confidentiality is required.
