Job Purpose

Contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective administration service in relation to Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates, Housing Benefit, Sundry Debts and Scottish Welfare Fund awards managed by the Revenues and Benefits section in accordance with statutory legislation and regulations in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically in relation to the delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Finance and ICT Service Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

The duties of this post requires access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete a basic Disclosure Scotland application. A formal offer of employment with East Ayrshire Council will only be made once satisfactory clearance has been received. Any information that is disclosed on a basic disclosure will require to be discussed before a formal offer of employment is made.

Responsibilities

We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks namely “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. This is a permanent full time post based at The Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock

Normal office hours are are 35 hours per week working Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm & Friday 9am - 4pm.

Annual salary £21,039 - £22,240

The workstyle for this post is ‘Mobile’ - 20-49% of time is office based. Able to work at home, or another location, or travel directly from home to other locations and client visits out in the field.
