We exist to support councils and their partners to improve the health, quality of life and opportunities of all Scotland’s population through community leadership, strong local governance and the delivery of high quality, efficient local services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen based within East Lothian Council for an Improvement Officer to deliver an improved service and achieve financial savings following a review of the Facilities Management Service.

The Improvement Officer will be responsible for working with staff and management across the Council to deliver a set of recommendations resulting from a review of the Facilities Management Caretaking, Janitorial and Cleaning Service. This will involve working with closely with the Service and stakeholders to agree business needs, defining specifications and analysing data sets to confirm benefits, risks and costs.

The successful candidate must have experience of delivering service improvements in complex organisations including data analysis, benefits realisation and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate would be joining the Council’s Transformation Programme team and working closely with a wide range of Council services.
