*This post is temporary to Dunbar Primary School to cover a secondment but is permanent to East Lothian Council. The successful candidate will initially be based at Dunbar PS until June 2020 and thereafter be placed at another Primary school within East Lothian as required. This is a 52 week post.
To work as an effective member of an early years team delivering a high quality child centred service which meets the needs of children and their families.

Educated to HNC in Childcare and Education or SVQ3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD), or equivalent qualification.
SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
