An opportunity has arisen for a full time, Community Occupational Therapist to join our forward thinking, dynamic and integrated team based at East Lothian Community Hospital in Haddington. Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people affected by disability to achieve their outcomes. The service has recently started using the Request for Assistance model as a way of having good conversations at an early stage with people experiencing functional decline to support early intervention and self management where possible. Request for Assistance also enables clients to be seen in a timeous manner, particularly if in a crisis situation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is skilled in assessment, rehabilitation, adaptations and moving and handling. You will have sound knowledge of a range of medical conditions and how they affect a persons ability to function in their home environment. You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
To provide a responsive and needs led Occupational Therapy service, ensuring appropriate services are provided to meet clients' needs in accordance with the Council’s statutory obligations and department policies and procedures

Educated to Dip/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
