Job Details

In conjunction with the Group Service Manager contribute to the design and implementation of service redesigns and specific projects relating to Adult Resource Centres and Learning Disability Services, to meet the objectives and targets of the Health &Social Care Partnership.

To ensure effective performance management within the projects and help to ensure that the projects adhere to strict and tight timelines.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Must be educated to diploma / degree level in a health / social care / social science related subject or have extensive relevant experience in a health & social care environment and be registered with a professional body. S/he must also be able to demonstrate a record of success in strategic planning and performance management within a complex clinical / social care, multi-disciplinary environment along with experience of service planning, performance monitoring, budgetary and people management.  S/he must also have specialist knowledge of Learning Disabilities.

Professional Registration
Registration with relevant professional body ie Scottish Social Services Council/Nursing Midwifery Council or Health Care Professional Council is an essential requirement of this role

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
