An opportunity has arisen for a Sundry Accounts Officer to work within the Revenues & Welfare Support Service based at John Muir House, Haddington.

The Council's Sundry Accounts Team is responsible for collecting Council service charges, maximising income and collecting arrears. The team works closely with a range of Council Services to ensure that charges are collected efficiently and accurately.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, successful debt management experience and an ability to use their initiative and creativity to solve problems.

Job Details

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive Sundry Accounts Service, ensuring the timely administration and collection of all miscellaneous income due to the Council by safeguarding tax payer’s assets and supporting services to effectively manage their resources.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC or SVQ Level 3 in Accountancy or similar subject and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through
relevant experience.
