To work 'As & When required' on an ad-hoc basis
Shifts will reflect the needs of service, but will normally take place during the following times:
Monday - 1730-2030 (Prestonpans Community Centre)
Tuesday - 1630-1830 (Port Seton Centre)
Thursday - 1730-2100 (Prestonpans Community Centre)
Friday - 1800-2100 (Outreach across Preston, Seton & Gosford).
Friday - 1800-2100 (Port Seton Community Centre)
We are recruiting for casual youth work staff for Prestonpans, Cockenzie and Port Seton, as part of the wider Connected Communities team in East Lothian. We are looking for people with experience who can develop positive relationships with young people and encourage them to actively participate in a range of activities either in clubs or group settings as well as through effective outreach work in the community.
Youth workers will engage with young people and form an understanding of their needs in order to offer appropriate information, advice and guidance. We are looking for staff who are available on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening. There is also further opportunities to work in the school holidays during the day.

To work as a group worker in youth work activities delivered by the Connected Communities Service.

A good standard of general education and able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience in a similar role.
