As service manager for our Community Children’s services you will be responsible for the operational delivery and strategic direction of our Community Team, Intensive Family Support and Request for Assistance service.  This will include oversight of families requiring support due to child protection worries and families where we have statutory responsibilities. The team also oversees children with a disability requiring a multi-agency support plan.

You will be involved in financial and other resource management, performance management, and service development and will be expected to promote targeted interventions within our integrated model of health and social work. You will also support colleagues in the development of initiatives, plans, and policies related to high standards of service provision.

Applicants will hold a professional social work qualification and be able to demonstrate considerable social work experience and previous supervisory experience. You will have excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults.

The successful candidate will be required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
