The Training Manager (Children & Families and CPD) is a key post leading on the development of a full range of learning and training courses and workshops, active in promoting a continuum of practice learning opportunities and in supporting staff to continue to develop and meet the challenges in delivering quality services. We are looking for a SSSC Registered Social Worker with experience of managing (or supervising) in child care services and would welcome someone with a practice teaching award and/or a Child Protection certificate, as well as the essential training skills.

The post is based in the Workforce Development and Training team at Rossvail, Camelon. The location may change at a later date. Regular supervision and support for Continuous Professional Development is a priority.

This post offers considerable scope for creative and developmental approaches to support all aspects of Continuous Professional Development across all parts of the social services workforce and the Training Manager will be a key member of the Children & Families Management Team.

They will work directly to the Service Manager, Workforce Development and  have an important role in contributing to the overall development of the Service.

We aim to appoint an experienced worker who can quickly engage with the service and design, commission and/or deliver a wide range of training, learning and development.

The Training Manager needs to have skills in working across services and with other agencies and higher education partners to enhance the provision of good quality learning opportunities and promote national learning and development priorities alongside locally agreed objectives.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished Social Work professional, who can demonstrate from their career a talent for staff development.
