Due to the continued expansion and development within our 21 bedded reablement service within Summerford House; opportunities have arisen for a further Full time Rehab Carer (Summerford).

As a Rehab Carer, you will be involved in the Reablement of Service Users to assist them in achieving an optimum level of independence with aspects of daily living, supporting them to return to living as independently as possible within their own homes. You must be an experienced carer with commitment, patience and an understanding of ageing and disability and their effect on people’s lives. You must be able to work under pressure and deal confidently, calmly and sensitively with difficult situations. You must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internal and external, and in addition, have excellent team working and written skills.

The posts will involve short-term provision of rehab support to the Service Users identified as having reablement potential living in the Falkirk Council area.

You must hold a full driving licence; and have the ability to travel throughout Falkirk Council area; as a result, Summerford House have a pool of Council vehicles available to the Rehab Care staff, in order to facilitate the delivery of care services across all geographical areas.

You are required to commit to a rostered shift working pattern including evenings and weekends over a 7 day period; which consists of 15 days worked over a 21 day period; and involving early and back shifts; shift times being 7.30am until 3.30pm; and 2.15pm until 10.15pm.
