We have a number of vacancies for a Casual Mobile Warden to work in the Mobile Emergency Care Service.  MECS is a community alarm service providing care to over 3000 service users from a wide-ranging client group i.e., elderly, disabled, learning disabled or with mental health problems etc in a community setting.

This post is to provide cover for staff annual leave and absences over a variety of shifts i.e. Early, Back and Nightshifts working a variety of different shift lengths.

Applications are being sought from individuals who have both the capacity to work without constant supervision and are effective team players.  The ability to make effective decisions under pressure is an integral feature of this post.

Whilst previous experience of delivering personal care services is desirable, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about people and may be looking to change career.  Please indicate on your application form what skills you feel would be transferrable to a role within this service.  Full training will be given in Moving and Handling and the use of hoists as well as all aspects of personal care.  A full driving licence is an essential requirement for this post.

A first aid certificate, Extended personal care training and an SVQ level 2 in care would be a distinct advantage.

You will work on an as and when required basis.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
