To undertake all aspects of floor coverings and floor preparation; this includes traditional carpet with gripper and underlay, industrial/contract carpet, carpet tiles, linoleum and vinyl, wet floors, laminate flooring, screeding and plywood to floors, including responsive/emergency work across the full range of domestic and non-domestic properties, including the larger and higher quality work in Public Buildings, ensuring that all such works are carried out in a manner that positively contributes to a high quality, responsive and cost effective service which meets Service and Customer expectations, throughout Fife.

To carry out all forms of Maintenance and Renewal work to a wide range of materials and components beyond small repairs and maintenance appropriate to trade.
To make sure that the Floor Coverings throughout Fife Council Properties are of a safe and sound nature and so that they are able to keep up the appearances of the Building to a standard acceptable to the Client and Public users of the Properties
To carry out large scale works appropriate to trade on building alterations, improvements, refurbishments, extensions and new build housing to both Domestic and Public Buildings throughout Fife.
Experience of Property Maintenance, Installations, and renewals to Domestic and non-Domestic properties.
Ability to carry out assigned work to standard and speed reasonably expected from a qualified Carpet Fitter/Floor Layer.
Ability to work on your own with minimum Supervision.
Ability to interpret instructions from job tickets, specifications and Architectural Drawings.
Ability to carry out all assigned work to a high standard of workmanship, good practice and customer care.
Essential Criteria: - City and Guilds Certificate or equivalent SVQ Level 3 attainment.
