Location:  36 hour - permanent - Rothesay House

                  36 hour - permanent - Bankhead Depot

To assist the Lead Officer Projects and Major Works in the achievement of programmes in relation to EESSH and current legislation. To ensure current policies regarding maintenance and capital programmes are adhered to.

Support delivery of the Housing Investment programme and ensure properties are considered for inclusion in Investment and other programmed works.

Provide technical guidance to Area Teams.

Carry out property surveys, prepare specifications and briefs for major project work as required.

Order work by use of appropriate systems and Tender procedures.

Supervise major works to completion ensuring that Health and Safety Standards, Building Regulations and CDM regulations are adhered to.

Process appeals relating to rechargeable repairs.

Update Housing’s Stock Condition Database.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.


The Individual

SVQ 3 in Housing or Health & Social Care or a Professional Qualification in Housing or Management or equivalent relevant qualification.

You should have a knowledge of Housing policies and practices.  You should be able to provide a regular and effective service.  You should be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be customer focussed.  You should also be a well organised individual to manage competing demands.
