An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinician to join the Moving and Handling team in Fife Council. In this role you will be supporting Council staff and Service Users. You will be part of a small team within the Health Safety and Wellbeing corporate team and will work to ensure compliance with all regulations, policy and procedures.
You will be training staff regularly but it is a varied role and does include complex risk assessing and advising staff, service users and carers on how to reduce risk. You will be involved in ensuring the high quality of the service by continuous development responding to the organisations needs in line with evidenced based practice.
You will be required to travel around Fife for training or assessments but the majority of the time you will be based in Central Fife.
The role is a permanent contract. There is flexibility to the amount and way the hours are worked ensuring the service needs are met but will usually be Monday to Friday office hours.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic and forward thinking team. You will be confident and passionate sharing with others how to reduce the risk when Moving and Handling.
You will be a qualified health professional or have a degree in a relevant related subject. Ideally you will have post graduate qualifications or experience with training others and in moving and handling/back care risk management.
You will have a good understanding of legislation and professional standards and be able to demonstrate competent Moving and Handling practice in a variety of situations.
