You will work within the Moving and Handling Team, based within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team that forms part of the wider Human Resources Service. Operational activities will range from supporting Moving and Handling Advisors to prepare and deliver training, assisting advisors with the assessment of individuals needs and undertaking varied project work.

The trainee will be committed to developing their skills and abilities within the healthcare field and will support the Moving and Handling Team in delivering the moving and handling strategy through the provision of advice and guidance to managers and staff on best practice.
These vacancies are restricted to applicants who live in Fife. You must also be aged between 16 and 24 on or by the specified start date.
Applicants should be qualified to or be expecting to be qualified to, by December 2019: SCQF Level 7, which includes an HNC or SVQ3, in a relevant health or social care related discipline.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve a BSc (SCQF Level 9) in Health and Social Care with the Open University, with all modules being completed through distance learning. Previous experience can be considered as equivalent see SCQF Framework www.scqf.org.uk.
Applicants will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting their role and will be required to be a member of the PVG scheme. Applicants will also require to complete the Scottish Manual Handling Passport certification, if this is not already held.
Applicants will be required to undertake a job-related practical test during the interview process.
Travel around Fife will be required for this role.
