Fife Council has an ambitious OD strategy to improve and modernise the culture and performance of the organisation to deliver excellent services to the people of Fife. This is being implemented in a time of significant change and challenge for our staff in terms of available resources and increasing demands for their services. For example, our OD strategy work includes, developing a coaching culture, sourcing and inputting into our emerging leadership programme, and developing our approach to talent management
We are looking for an OD adviser to add to our existing team to lead the development of OD approaches, aligned with our strategy and to provide effective client centred OD consultancy to Directorates.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design, development and implementation of a range of focused change and improvement initiatives aligned with our OD strategy
- Research, evaluation and recommendation of OD approaches and interventions
- Developing and monitoring the delivery and impact of specific projects and delegated areas of responsibility
- Providing effective client centred OD consultancy support to Directorates
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external organisations in the delivery of projects
- Modelling new ways of working across the organisation
You will be educated to SCFQ level 8 or above, preferably in an OD related subject of study.
You will have substantial experience of working in an OD setting and will be able to highlight successful OD projects that you have led and supported in previous roles.
You will have a knowledge and working experience of change models, theories and evidence base relevant to the OD context and a curiosity to further develop your skills and understanding in these areas. Previous experience of performance and talent management, and succession planning would be advantageous.
You will be self-motivated and pro-active with a drive to deliver.
You will have the courage to challenge entrenched views, but to do so in a respectful and empathetic manner.
You will be a skilled influencer, able to create successful partnerships and collaborations with people at all levels within and beyond the organisation.
You will instill trust and be recognised as a credible professional by others, delivering on your commitments, treating people fairly and with respect and always seeking to find the best outcome for the organisation and everyone involved.
