An opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager within Roads and Transportation Services. Reporting to the Senior Manager we are looking for a dynamic, inventive, collaborative Service Manager to join our team.

Service Manager, Structural Services within Roads & Transportation Services leading on the management of Fife's Bridges, Structures, Harbours, Shoreline and Flood Management duties.

It is an exciting time to join Roads and Transportation Services as Fife looks to deliver major transformational improvements in support of the ambitions of the Plan for Fife and the wider regional and national context.

Key areas of work include:

Leading the development and maintenance of asset management strategies for:

• Fife’s Bridges and Structures Inventory which has an asset value circa £500M.
• Fife’s Harbours & Piers Inventory with an asset value circa £150M.
• Fife Flood Protection Schemes with an asset value circa £50m

Leading the development and review of Fife’s Shoreline Management Plan and Flood Risk Management Plans & Strategies.

Providing advice and guidance to other Council services on structural engineering, flood risk and coastal protection.

Lead the management and maintenance of Fife’s Harbours and coastal infrastructure.

We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
