Job Details

For over a decade Fife Council has taken serious action on tackling climate change. In 2019 Fife Council declared a climate emergency and in 2020 approved the Climate Fife plan. The Climate Fife plan outlines the range and scope of work the team is involved in.

This is a great opportunity to work in a team whose focus is to deliver action on the climate emergency. The team is based in Fife Council’s Planning Service. The post is an exciting new role focussed on delivering the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Duty 2022. This is critical work to help all buildings in Fife become more energy efficient and decarbonise their heat. The post will be leading all aspects of the council’s Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy duty: the long term strategy, 5 year actions plans, plan delivery and reporting.

This is a fast moving work area and we provide good opportunities for professional development.
